Looking over the bridge, Geneenh saw that between her turret, Lysander and Izahm, things seemed well in hand, though she was curious as to where Fischer and Maelstrom were; she could only assume they had left the bridge to secure another target on the ship.
Knowing she still had several more tasks to accomplish, she turned back to the console she was using and plugged back into the system.
Everything aboard the ship that was needed for them to leave was active; all that mattered now was releasing the docking clamps, which she did.
One task left.
The ship may have been secured, but they were still in the middle of a Cerberus shipyard and the pro-human group was not going to let them simply fly away without a fight. She activated the ship’s automated defenses in preparation for the battle to leave.
Her final task complete, she joined Lysander and Izahm.
"The AI has been dealt with, the ship is ours--at least from a technological standpoint," she said. "What have I missed?"

Joe scanned the area for any more targets and then nodded at Maelstrom when no more were discovered.
He brought his Harrier into the ready position and then proceeded down the hallway, eager to get to the AI core and shut it down.

"The AI has been dealt with, the ship is ours--at least from a technological standpoint," said Gennenh. "What have I missed?"
"Only the usual hijinks," replied Eric, still scanning about the room which was nearly clear of smoke. "Let's not set sail just yet, guys - we still gotta account for our team and drop this off." The demo expert gestured to the assembled thermonuclear device on the sled. "And Izzy said there were two Phantoms skulking about."
Eric motioned his eyes to one of the bodies splayed on the deck. "That's one..."

With Fischer's confirmation of his own feelings that the coast was clear, Maelstrom cautiously rounded out the back of the kitchen area before proceeding once more towards the rear of the ship, where the schematics showed the access to the lower decks. His gauntlet-mounted mass accelerator scanned his surroundings with his eyes, his palm extending towards each dark corner and hiding spot in-turn as he passed. He refused to be lulled by the quiet. Until internal sensors were online AND drones had thoroughly scanned each of the ship's access corridors and crawlspaces, he would remain on edge. Vigilant.
He considered the situation, with systems seemingly back under their control, and he decided to sweep the rest of the deck, nodding to Fischer to take several of the rooms he had not. The crew quarters were spartan by his standards, though no more so than in Alliance vessels. Still, he decided in a dim back corner of his mind, as he finished his portion of the ship and waited for Fischer by the ramp down to the engineering deck, that he would continue living on the Vengeance, where he had privacy, security, and a measure of autonomy if needed. And, after the fate of the Valiant, he liked the idea of already being where he needed to be to make a quick escape.
The wild card was what to do with Miss Moore.

For some reason, Doc ran up to him and started scanning, as he made his way up the ramp leading to the engineering level. The way she buzzed around him with her omni-tool was distracting, the glare from it drawing his attention from where it was meant to be- down the end of his rifle. He tolerated the good-natured intrusion.
“I am not detecting any injuries that require medical attention,” she said. “Are you all right?”
"Except for the orange glow distracting me from where my gun is aimed," he growled, unable to help himself once asked directly. "Doc, if I'm moving, I'm good to go. I'll drop by later if I find anything that doesn't regen."
The krogan quickly swept through the engineering deck, more than a little surprised to find not a single Cerberus soul remaining. He bared his teeth, growling in anticipation of the way the infiltration team would likely be bragging about a glorious fight, while he had been limited to a handful of foes down in the shuttle bay and on the freighter. Under his breath, he added, "The next mission, I better be able to smash in a bunch of heads."
With that, he started up to the next level.

As Izahm crouches behind a console he senses a presence coming up behind him, the voice that speak confirms its Geneenh, "The AI has been dealt with, the ships ours-at least from a technical standpoint," the Asari engineer pauses then says, What have I missed?"
Before Izahm can even say anything Lysander reminds them both about the remaining Phantom, 'Scheisse,' Izahm thinks immediately beginning to scan the room, 'Forgto about that Phantom.'
"We need to find the last one quickly," he says as he scans the room switching between thermal and normal vision modes looking for any discrepancies, "Because those guys we sealed in the airlock could come through at any moment and I would rather not fight them. We have no idea of their fighting strength."

Geneenh was about to respond when she heard a pounding on the door leading to the bridge.
Making her way back to her console, she brought up a security feed. A Centurion, two Dragoons and an Engineer stood before the door. The Engineer was crouched before a console, working to bypass the door while the Centurion pounded on it.
She shook her head, marveling at their persistence despite all the losses that had been inflicted on them.
She then shook her head as she saw one of the other doors led into an airlock just behind the bridge.
She first gave the command for the outer doors to open, followed by the inner doors.
“If only they hadn’t set up this shipyard in space,” she said as the four of them were sucked into the cold and empty vacuum. “Now where’s the last Phantom?”

As the Krogan dropped from the now still mech, Arcus briefly swept the area. Seeing all clear, he issued a command to his suit, and a detox compound began flowing into him, taking away the effects of Clarity, and with it, a small piece of himself.
"You're a piss poor shot, Madknife," Thrak grumbled at the turian.
"That was never in question," replied Arcus. "You really should remember that next time you try to challenge a giant robot to an arm wrestling match."
By the time Arcus had finished his sentence, The Krogan had turned away. The fact that the krogan had been in such a predicament, added to the fact that Arcus had been the one to down both mech pilots, had probably injured his pride. Arcus decided not to press any further.
A bright light buzzed it's way into Arcus' peripheral vision. He immediately tensed as he recognized the ongoing medical scan.
“I am not detecting any injuries. Are you all right?”
His tension eased slightly. The detox should have neutralized anything that would show up in a light scan by now, he hoped. "I'm fine, Doctor," he responded. "And while I appreciate your help, I would equally appreciate your seeking my permission next time before scanning me, unless I'm too close to dead to give it."
He turned his attention to the rest of the ship. As Thrak went to clear Engineering, Arcus headed up towards the bridge just in case the boarding party was still having issues.

“Now where’s the last Phantom?” said Geenenh after spacing the Cerberus personnel trapped in the airlock.
Eric continued looking around the bridge. “One shifty bastard left… we, we’ve got one of our own who eats these guys for breakfast…” He motioned to Izahm. “Izzy – Geenenh can use this boat’s sensors to sniff ‘em out now that she’s got control. We’ll keep looking around while you head below ‘n find Mal and Junior. The sooner we blow this place…”
Eric smirked, eyeing the bomb.
“… the better…”

"Affirmative," Izahm says getting up from his crouch and starts moving for the door. Unnoticed is a slight shimmering movement and a shadow on shadow effect behind Izahm, "I'll help them and be back shortly," he calls over his shoulder stepping into the doorway while bringing his Mattock up to the ready.

As Izahm stepped forward Eric swore he could see an odd distortion moving in pace with the freelance reporter/mercenary although the smoke had completely cleared from the bridge...
Eric held up his Raptor butt first and swooped in behind his teammate at an angle.
"DUCK IZZY!!!"
The N7 shoved Izahm out of harm's way, colliding with the anomaly with such force that the cloaking device was disrupted and deactivated revealing the missing Phantom. He spun his Raptor round to aim the barrel at her.
"Surprise, bitch-"
The Phantom wasted neither words nor time and swung her blade at him. Eric hopped backwards and held his rifle lengthwise to parry to be surprised himself when the Phantom's blade cleaved his weapon neatly in two.
"SHIT!" Eric dropped the pieces and went for his sidearm as the Phantom closed in...

Lysander’s shout drew Geneenh’s attention away from the console. She turned to see the human try to block an attack on Izahm with his weapon only to see it cleaved in two by the last Phantom, leaving him fumbling for his sidearm as the assassin closed in, its left arm raised, clearly intending to use its built in phase disruptor to kill him.
She could attack the Phantom, but it was too far away for her to physically attack the assassin.
That left her technological capabilities.
An energy drain attack would disable the Phantom’s shields, rendering it visible for a time, but that would not stop it from attacking Lysander with its disruptor.
And thus only one option was left.
She quickly brought up her sabotage application and targeted the gauntlet.
Sparks flew from the Phantom’s raised arm and it grunted in surprise. It turned towards her and suddenly disappeared.
She had studied up on the dossiers prepared by the team on the possible opponents they might face, so she was well aware of the Phantom’s ability to conduct a short-range teleport and strike down an unsuspecting target with their sword.
She ducked and rolled to one side in an effort to evade the attack, and the lack of pain told her she was successful in evading the attempt.
She rolled back up to her feet and faced her opponent.
It stood facing her sideways, its back leg bent and supporting most of its weight, its left arm held straight out at her, while its sword arm was cocked up at shoulder level, the sword pointing at her.
She adopted a defensive posture, ready to do battle.

Joe did a quick but thorough search of the rooms on his side. Given the close quarters, he suspected it was for the enlisted personnel.
He chuckled to himself—at least he thought he did. He remembered that Shepard had described the Normandy as being quite sumptuous in its amenities for its crew, but that probably only applied to the officers’ quarters.
He chuckled to himself again. It seemed a universal constant that officers would get quarters at double the size of quarters intended for four enlisted personnel or more—-and yet it was the enlisted who did all the heavy lifting to get the job done. Officers may give the orders, but it would always fall all the grunts to do the dirty work.
Shaking his head at the prejudices of the ship’s designers, he rejoined Maelstrom at the ramp leading down to the engineering section.

Izahm heard the warning and started to drop only to get shoved aside. Using the momentum he rolled through the doorway and pivoting on his hand while swinging a leg around as he comes up brings him into an elongated half runners crouch his Mattock held one handed for a few seconds as he stops moving. He then brings the stretched out leg forward and plants the foot pushing off with his hand as he does so. This brings him up into proper crouching position his Mattock held tight. "Lysander where's the target?" He calls out gun ready.

Maelstrom started down to Engineering once Fischer had rejoined him. Weapon leading the way, he scanned every corner with his weapon as he made his way into the lower reaches of the ship. After their fight with the Phantoms, he was on-edge enough that he nearly jumped upon seeing the hulking Thrak turn the corner, a number of the ship's new crew trailing a cautious distance behind.
"Clear above," Maelstrom reported.
The krogan said something Maelstrom could not quite make out, before straightening and saying, "We got everything below."
Maelstrom nodded. "Can your team take care of clearing this deck? I want to get back up top for something."
"Sure," Thrak grunted, with a nod. "I could clear this deck."
Looking past the krogan to the amassed crew, Maelstrom added, "There was an AI attempting to take control of the ship. Geneenh seems to have it taken care of, but I'd suggest disconnecting the power and its connectivity to the rest of the ship."
"This one will begin the task immediately. This one's skills should be sufficient to prevent any further action by the artificial intelligence."
"Good," Maelstrom said. Starting back up the ramp, he added, "I'm heading to the bridge. Send for me if there's anything you have questions about."

The instant Eric drew his Talon and pointed it at the Phantom, it grunted as its sword arm sparked and then instantly turned about and disappeared. "Lysander where's the target?" Izahm called out, crouched down with his Mattock rifle at the ready.
Eric panned his pistol about the bridge. He saw Geenenh finish an evading roll and standing ready to face off against the uncloaked Phantom. He aimed for its mid-section.
“In front of Geneenh!” said Eric. “But don’t shoot – keep her covered...”

"Right in front of Geneenh," the veteran Alliance officer replies, "But don't shoot, keep her covered."
"Affirmative," Izahm says sighting on the Phantom but not shooting waiting for its next move, "I got the right side and the exit covered you cover the left side in case it tries to run," he says to Lysander figuring Geneenh could handle it, 'Still these shifty bitches live to run and hide' he thinks watching the phantom carefully for any sign of retreat.

[GM Post]
To get things moving, if the Phantom is not addressed by another character by this time tomorrow, I will have Maelstrom deal with it unceremoniously. The remaining tasks for the chapter are launching of the Okinawa, doing something with the nuke (deploying it or disarming it, keeping in mind that the moorings have been disengaged- it can still be space-deployed on a timer), having the Okinawa take out TIM's dreadnought, and having the Patroclus ram one of the facilities, before the Okinawa makes its escape. Ideally, I'd like to see these done by this time next week at the latest.

Izahm then noticed Geneenh's indecision and Lysander's slightly precarious situation. Seeing all this and knowing how quickly this could turn in the Phantom's favor he rushes forward gaining the Phantom's attention. It starts to turn away from Geneenh to focus on him sword swinging first its pulse gauntlet charged. He ducks the blade though it shaves off a sizable section of his shoulder armor he then grips his Mattock tightly in one hand and swings it hard into the Phantoms legs as he ducks. Unprepared for the sudden unorthodox use of his weapon the Phantom falls to the ground its sword skittering away from the impact and its pulse gauntlet firing harmlessly into the ceiling. Izahm then puts a knee on the Phantoms neck the same leg also pinning the pulse gauntlet before flicking on his Omni-blade and plunging it through the Phantoms chest several times while adding pressure to the neck. The Phantom tries to scream but his knee crushing her neck quiets her screams as she fades until she moves no more.
"Bridge," Izahm takes a breath to calm himself after the exertion, "Secured," He then gets up and picks up the Phantoms sword admiring it, "I might have to add you to my budding blade collection."

Eric clipped his Talon to his side. “… nice work, Izzy. Thanks…”
He took a breath, centered himself and sprinted over to the device on the sled to reset the timer to a shorter interval. Enough for a bombing run. He looked to Gennenh next.
“Geenenh… re-establish contact with our team – let ‘em know we’re heading underway. Then charge up the drive core, head for the mass relay – top speed… but be ready to change course for the dreadnought at my command.”
