This has been on my mind for a few days, and I've been wondering if we are allowed more than on character. Say like I have a human smuggler on Omega and I have Artacus doing his thing on the space station, would I be able to control both of those characters and tell their stories at the same time?

Im sure if you clear it with the GM it should be fine.

You are only allowed one active. Otherwise, you kind of sway the balance of the story's flow. If you want to bring different characters on different missions, that's one thing, but if you do it to often, then you never really get to develop your character to the fullest, and other players aren't as likely to have their characters develop significant relationships (working or otherwise) with your character. Of course, it's always the player's choice which character they want to play (so long as the character is one that has been approved), but you only get one of them at a time.
The GM approved what I have above, but he also welcomed people to discuss the issue (mainly to see if people had a problem with players switching characters).
