Hello everyone,
So, I've talked it over with the GM, and after they talk with Esteban Bridges, Enaya and Anelya will be joining the crew as NPCs. I wanted to put this up to let everyone know that, like Iskra did with Parr, I'm making them available for anyone in the crew to RP with. The GM and I haven't ironed out just how long they'll stay with the ship, but since they're on a pilgrimage of sorts, I wouldn't count on them being permanent fixtures (probably just a few missions).
For info on their personalities, please see their Character Dossiers located in the NPCs section. Though they are Consorts, they aren't just looking to sleep around, so I'd ask that if anyone does choose to have a physically intimate encounter with one of them, they do a lot of really good setup beforehand. No amount of money offered will affect their willingness (if anything, it will turn them off). They aren't looking to settle down with anyone; they have a goal in life, to work in Sha'ira's establishment on the Citadel someday as full-fledged apprentices, and some day masters in their own right. As a final word on this subject, I'd just request that anyone if anyone does have a physical encounter between one of them and their character, they keep it rather tasteful (nothing explicit, please).
I'm also going to say that Maelstrom is going to develop an attachment (not romantic) towards these women, as I plan to have them help him through some of his issues. That said, he will react negatively to anyone/anything abusing/injuring/insulting them. It could make for some interesting RP if done well. I just don't want anyone to take it personally if it comes up.
There are a few things I haven't spelled out yet that I thought I'd mention, for people to be on the same page with...
Enaya will probably take up work as ship's cook. She can prepare group meals or work by request. Since they aren't being paid, she'll be working with the ship's stores or, if made available, the ingredients of our individual characters. Maybe she can talk Bridges into buying some ingredients, especially if others pitch in their suggestion. She's well-versed in both traditional cooking for multiple races and in fusion cooking (using ingredients from multiple species). She LOVES to experiment with her cooking, and it's rare that one of her efforts doesn't work out masterfully. For big meals, Anelya may help, utilizing their telepathic bond to work flawlessly together, but Enaya is also very open to cooking alongside others, learning, teaching, and just having fun.
Enaya's the one who will have the most fun listening to your character's stories. She has a passion for life, and while she'd prefer to experience for herself, she's happy to enjoy life vicariously through the accounts of others while traveling between the stars.
Anelya will likely pitch in on ship performance by improving network security on the Valiant and optimizing network security. She can also aid in ship repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. Things like weapons and armor modding, repair, and maintenance are rather outside her specialty, but I suspect she'd enjoy learning. After all, tech is kind of her thing.
Anelya will also LOVE getting into theological and philosophical discussions/debates. Please keep in mind her background in siari (http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Asari) and her unique views (as explained in her character dossier- casualtyscost.freeforums.net/thread/131/character-dossier-anelya-cysendra).
Finally, remember that when they're close together, there's some overlap with the two. They'll be aware of each others' thoughts to a degree and most likely be working in tandem towards some goal. At those times, they're almost more of a collective than individuals. If you want to lessen that connection, play on their differences, such as Anelya's concern for morality, Enaya's flare for art, etc. This will have the effect of bringing themselves out of each other and more into the individuals themselves.
I hope these pointers will prove helpful and that you all take the opportunity to spend some time with one or both of them. Have fun!
Sincerely,
Maelstrom
