Iskra stood at the bottom of the steps of what could only be described as the throne of the universe, its occupant silhouetted by the glow of the galaxy map behind her.
"So you wish me to make you disappear." The melodious voice finally spoke. Iskra found herself scared at the draw it had, low and sensual, promising the world and more.
The sharp gold eyes slid over to the case next to the Drell, "And what of that."
Iskra bristled and stepped in front of the case, as if she could actually stand up to this hawk eyeing its prey. "T-this is off limits!" Iskra stuttered out. Shakily, she grabbed a data pad from her coat and offered it to the woman. "I will give you everything I have learned. The only copy of my research, my life's work, as well as everything we learned on the contents of this case."
"I-if Morgan did what she promised. The only one that would have the rest of the data no longer does." Iskra's lips pressed together at the thought of Esteban finding his omni tool wiped clean, the ship as well. Erased as if Iskra had never existed there, the machine having never sat in the cargo bay.
The fabric around the Asari swirled around her legs as she stood, and started to descend towards Iskra. The light blue skin bright against the white dress, as soft as the Asari looked, the dark markings on her face as well as the unnerving bright gold eyes were sharp. Even with the harsh star burst scar across her cheek, this woman was gorgeous. Iskra knew from her studies...the most beautiful of creatures were usually the most deadly.
Delicate fingers relieved the datapad from her grip, Iskra felt her heart go with that data. Everything was there, her very soul trapped within those days she slaved, those years she poured into retrieving everything on that datapad.
"I can do what you requested, you must understand though. I will wipe you from the galaxy after this day. As far as anyone you know, you died today. It will be only by your own will that someone will be allowed to find you." Her voice had turned serious, no longer an act.
"I understand."
"Very well. I will have Malik walk you through the process."
"Wait!" Iskra hurriedly stopped the turning figure, "One more thing."
The Asari stood quietly, waiting in the shadows. "I..." Iskra's voice faltered. She wanted someone to know, someone to know what truly happened. But as the people she knew flashed through her mind she knew there was no one.
"Thank you."
"Do not thank me." The Asari waved off the gratitude. "I do not know what you are running away from, but that..." The gold eyes motioned to the case, "Will not be something that will make your life a happy one. Do not thank me for the dark end you seem to know is coming."
Iskra knew her words to be true, her heart clenched as she spoke her fears. The doctor knew what end was coming but now was not the time to think about that.
"Please make sure that research goes into the right hands."
"Of course." With that the Asari went back to work, Iskra escorted out of the room and into nonexistence.
A ghost of a woman sits at a small terminal, her once vibrant skin seemed dull and grey. Her once athletic form now gaunt and weak, tatters of clothing hung off her, dirty and covered in blood.
The room around her mirrored her own mind, words scratched on the wall in repeat, dim, no light in the darkness save for the computer in front of her.
She reached up, boney fingers starting the video recording...

It has been gone for weeks now.
I destroyed the machine, threw it into the local sun.
Yet the whispers are still there in my mind, taunting me. He laughs at my foolish attempts of silencing them. Always laughing, that voice in the deepest dark.
I am at loss of what to do now. My days have merged, hours disappear and I awaken doing something I do not remember starting, standing in a place I do not remember walking to. I fear these few hours are the only time I am in control.
I have not been Whole since I stepped on that shuttle on the Citadel, husk of a woman I can barely remember now.
Faces of those I knew, those I loved. They are gone now, my mind only a dark void of fears and nightmares.
To whoever finds this...I no longer remember my own name. I could not tell you who I was before, only that she died weeks ago. All I know now is that they are coming. A force you cannot even comprehend. Cherish what time you have left...
The video link cut off, saved to this tiny light in the darkness. The Drell's body falls to the floor, a gun falling from her hand as a pool of blood spreads from her body. Finally finding silence from the whispers, but not before one rumbling laugh emanated from the dark...
"So you wish me to make you disappear." The melodious voice finally spoke. Iskra found herself scared at the draw it had, low and sensual, promising the world and more.
