We really see fairly little variety in Reapers while playing ME3 as opposed to what we saw heading towards the galaxy at the end of ME2. We basically got to see Sovereign-class and destroyers. Here's the question. What other classes of Reapers do you believe (could) exist (aside from those listed in the codex)? Feel free to put forward your own idea and discuss those of others. Have fun!

I'll start off my own thread by putting forward the idea of stealth Reapers, their version of the Normandy. The Reapers made it rather clear that all the galaxy's technology was based on Reaper tech. Even if that's a stretch, it seems unlikely that no race over the course of countless cycles would have developed the same technology. Since Reapers supposedly preserve all a race's uniqueness (by making them conform to the Reaper ideal), it would not be a stretch to assume that they could have created a stealth variant.
Some might ask, "Well, with the Reapers, why would they bother with stealth?" Remember that the situation with the Collectors was unusual, and how far back their history with the Rachni. Usually the Reapers succeed in turning other races into more Reapers. They would want to monitor the state of the galaxy, and in absence of their usual means, I believe it would make sense for them to have stealth units that could move more freely than Sovereign.
"Why leave Sovereign behind, then?" others might say. Simple. As advanced and intelligent as they are, they would understand that some situations require more brute force than a smaller stealth craft is capable of. Also, the Sovereign/Harbinger-class Reapers seem to be the command units in their fleet. Granted, this second point is based on limited observations, but it's a valid based upon those.
I'm interested to see what others think of my proposed class, and I look forward to seeing other people's ideas. Thanks.

Interesting idea, but I don't think so. The Collectors and Heretic Geth seemed to be pretty good at keeping an eye on things. And as for the added firepower, remember that the Reapers only come every 50,000 years for their harvesting. Why would they need additional units running around the galaxy prior to that?
Now that I think about it, the Heretic Geth could probably fill that stealth role very nicely. Although we never see any stealth vehicles on their part in the trilogy, I think it's entirely possible they could create one. It would just be a matter of taking the stealth technology their Hunters use and applying it to a ship. I'd like to think at least one of their programs came up with such an idea, even if their numbers are only 5% of all Geth. After all, they've certainly got plenty of free time.

I agree that in this cycle, they would have no need of them. I imagine, though, that even with the guidance of cultures offered by the Citadel and relay system, that different cycles can have vastly different technologies, political alignments of the galaxy, and versions of sentient artificial life. In cycles where entire races of servants with their own fleets might not be readily available, I could see a stealth Reaper being very beneficial.
I also agree that the Heretic Geth really should have something like a stealth frigate or cruiser. I think the only reason we didn't see something like that is that they wanted to keep the Normandy unique. It could be that the stealth technology is incompatible on a larger scale, though, as many different races have personal cloaks but the Normandy is the most stealthy craft we see. It could also be that the energy emissions of a starship are so great that other sensors pick a ship up easily even through such a stealth field. Just ideas why they didn't. Still, it would have been awesome. I'm not sure where they are in the new game, but I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that in it if it takes place post-ME3.
