Combat will occur in this game, as it does in the Mass Effect game. As such, there should be some sort of rules or structure to deal with it.
1. Mooks (non-boss fights)
This is a group of enemies that should present no difficulty for your character. They exist to make your character look good. Your character should be able to take out one or two a round easily. As a note of caution, don't go overboard. If there's a nice fun combat going on, don't kill off all the mooks by yourself.
2. Semi-Boss
This one, your character will have trouble with on his/her own. This battle will fall under the purview of the rules of fighting bosses. But the battle will not be as long or as difficult as against bosses.
3. Boss
The boss fight is the most difficult fight in the game. As such, there is a chance that your character's attack will not work. In any post you make against a boss, you must "declare an action." This means, your post will end with describing what your character is doing, but stop short of saying if it will work or not.
All combat will occur in rounds. This is done to make sure everything will be treated fairly and equally. Everyone will be able to participate.

PC versus PC Combat
As a general rule, all PC versus PC combat situations must be planned out between the participating PCs before the conflict begins. That way, nobody will feel like their toes are being stepped on. The combat will flow far more smoothly and everyone will be satisfied with the results. Please include the GM in with the planning.
Unless...
You wish to treat it like normal combat. In this case, both PCs will be treated as Boss-level enemies. The PC can only declare their combat action at the end of the post. The GM will determine the success / failure of said action.
