The Valiant is a refurbished Turian frigate owned by Corwin Havens. Corwin purchased it during a salvage sale. He and Benewan put forward the money to have it refurbished to their liking. It is not laid out like a traditional ship by any stretch of the imagination, but the owner of the ship likes it.
The Valiant is a refurbished Turian frigate. It was refurbished in 2175, the project taking approximately 3 months to complete. The technology was top of the line for its time, but is now ten years old. Some of the hardware and software is outdated. The systems are well maintained, checked over at every dock that Corwin stopped at.
Corwin and Benewan had the ship built for speed and agility rather than for power. As such, about half the money for refurbishing went on the engines. They wanted to ensure the FTL drives were superior to any others short of military grade vessels.
Note: Life support, the VI's server, and engines are all located in the Engine Room (not shown)
Armor:
- Traditional Turian frigate armor: While the armor is not Silaris Armor, it is just as dense, sturdy and dependable as armor on any modern warship.
- Ablative Armor: The inner layer of the Valiant consists of ablative armor plate designed to "boil away" when heated. The vaporized armor material scatters a direct energy weapon beam, rendering it ineffectual.
Weapon:
- Mass Accelerator Cannon: The MAC, or Mass Accelerator Cannon, is located underneath the bow of the ship and can be fired by the pilot or VI with little to no prep time. The mass effect fields generated within the cannon allow it to fire dense metal slugs at speeds approaching 1,000 meters per second with little recoil. The MAC is prone to overheating, so it can only be fired once every ten seconds.
- GARDIAN: The GARDIAN is standard with every starship. It consists of anti-missile and anti-fighter laser turrets. These turrets are also used to destroy asteroids that would otherwise damage the ship. The GARDIAN laser turrets are prone to overheating. Only their initial few shots hit with any accuracy, quickly losing their accuracy as any battle continues.
- Combat Drones: The Valiant comes equipped with 20 combat drones, each capable of independent fighting. Each drone comes equipped with Mass Effect levitation, a propulsion system, a full array of sensors, and laser turrets to assist in combat.
Sensors:
- Passive: Visual, thermographic, and radio detectors
- Active: Radars and high resolution ladars
Heat Management:
- Diffuse Radiator Arrays Strip Radiators: The Valiant is equipped with ceramic strips along the outer hall, making the Valiant appear stripped to any thermographic sensors.
- Diffuse Radiator Array Panels: The Valiant's underside is covered with ceramic panels, obscuring any heat signatures that may radiate from underneath the ship. These panels retract during ship combat, as the ship produces a substantial amount of heat that must be radiated.
Engines:
- FTL Drive Core: The Valiant has a custom made drive core, capable of achieving speeds of 80 times the speed of light. The Valiant can maintain top speed for 72 hours before needing to drop to sub-light speed to cool.
- Fusion Torch Drive: This drive relies on Helium-3 for fuel, providing an incredible amount of thrust by venting plasma from the thrusters.
Storage:
- Element Zero: The Valiant holds its element zero in the engine room. Corwin believes in being prepared, so he makes sure the Valiant is carries at least a six month supply of element zero at any given time.
The Valiant: Main Level
The main level of The Valiant
Command Station: On any Alliance vessel, the Command Station can be found in the center of the ship. This station is the master control of The Valiant, only responding to the ship's captain and the ship's owner. It has access to every system of the ship and can be used to coordinate all the ship's functions. The galaxy map can be pulled up here.
Work Station: The work station maintains various aspects of The Valiant, including maintaining life support, regulating temperature, navigation, sensor readings, maintaining the Mass Effect field, maintaining the kinetic barrier, and other important functions of the ship.
Medical Bay: The Valiant comes equipped with a fully functional Medical Bay. It contains two stasis pods, three beds, medical scanning equipment, extra medigel, various medical supplies (chemicals, medicines, scientific equipment) and a separate room for the doctor (equipped with personal bathroom, bed, dresser, and desk). The Medical Bay is equipped well enough to also easily function as a scientific laboratory.
Cockpit: The cockpit contains a holographic interface, allowing the pilot to have access to hundreds of options previously thought unavailable. Ship's weapons and flight is controlled here.
Back Up Controls: The back up controls will activate only if the cockpit is disabled or destroyed.
Stairs Up: To the Upper Levels where the crew quarters are.
Stairs Down: To the Lower Levels where the docking bay is.
The Valiant: Upper Level
Sleeping Pods: The Valiant comes equipped with 25 sleeping pods, varying in size to accommodate anyone from Krogans down to Volus. These pods hang from the ceiling, securely mounted. The occupant will sleep almost immediately within the pod and is woken up at a time of the occupant's choosing. Occupant woken up sooner only in an emergency.
Storage Lockers: Each mercenary is assigned a storage locker by their sleeping pod, allowing them to store clothing and well as close to 40 different personal items (weapons, armor, clothing, etc). Each mercenary also has access to spare storage lockers to allow for additional storage.
Gym: The gym is equipped with exercise equipment that is space effecient and can offer a challenge to anyone who seeks to exercise. Weight training, cardio, and a mat for sparing is available. Resistance is created through Mass Effect fields, increasing or decreasing the weight as needed.
Recreation: The Valiant comes equipped with the following equipment that is easily collapsible to allow for additional entertainment items: ping pong table, pool table, card table, basketball hoop, holographic generator (to create sparing partner), and a projector (movies, video games, etc).
Bathroom, Men: Only accessible to men. Contains a sonic shower, toilet, mirror, sink, and a dressing area.
Bathroom, Women: Only accessible to women. Contains a sonic shower, toilet, mirror, sink, and a dressing area.
Kitchen: The Valiant has a fully equipped kitchen, including an electronic stove, refrigerator (or equivalent food storage), sink, dishwasher, and dozens of fully stocked cabinets full of cooking equipment and food for those that can only eat dextro-protein and those who can eat levo-amino-acid based food.
Eating Area: Tables, plates, and eating utensils can be found here.
Stairs Down: To the Main Level.
The Valiant: Lower Level
The Valiant's VI: The Engineer
Nickname: Gin
Personality and Other Info: Most VIs do not have a discernable personality to speak of. Gin is your average VI in this regard (think Avina). His primary responsibility is to coordinate the rest of the ship's VIs and to help the crew as much as he can. He continuously downloads instructions and information from the infonet in order to adapt new techniques for doing his job better.
Note: idea for creating a map and dossier for the ship originally inspired from a different game when the player made her own ship

Coolant: Ship's primary cooling system, as the Engine/Drive Core produces an extraordinary amount of heat that is used to warm the ship up. The primary coolant system balances out the temperature.
