A though just occurred to me. Mass Effect Andromeda introduced a multitude of never before seen powers however they appear to be further evolutions of existing powers. Could we eventually use some of the powers introduced in Andromeda with our own PCs?

Given that Andromeda was cut short before we got to see the planned end-game for everything in it, I'm going to say no.

I think it should be determined on a case by case basis. If the extrapolated power has a reasonable cause and isn't ridiculously overpowered I would be inclined to approve it.
But then again I'm not the GM.

There's a good case for a lot of Andromeda tech being illegal, exclusive, and insanely expensive, and it's not unreasonable, I think, to assume that the variations we see deviating from the established powers are due to usage of tech not openly available or even allowed in Council Space. We do handle powers and abilities on a case-by-case basis in this RP, but I'd much rather see someone imaginatively using what's already established in the original trilogy lore than leaning on Andromeda to make things fresh
For example, Lysander's armor has a bomb disposal mode that I don't believe was ever established in the series but which would be well withing the capabilities we're aware of in ME. We do have a couple characters (NPC and PC) using jump jets, but that's a technology that it's just kind of crazy we hadn't seen in ME anyway. Then we have people using different color omni-tools, which there's no reason to assume wouldn't work. We've even had a couple players with player-unique abilities.
But, for the vast majority of the time, I think Andromeda powers belong in Andromeda.

I was thinking powers like Lance, Flamethrower, Backlash, and cryo beam which is just a more refined version of the already established N7 paladins snap freeze.
All of these powers are basically evolutions of existing powers. For example lance is just a highly focused throw, Backlash is a more controlled version of barrier, and flamethrower is basically an incineration burst that's no linger fired but a sustained jet. All well within lore just not introduced until Andromeda. Like the Ombi-blades apparently existed since the creation of the Omni-tool but it wasn't introduced or usable until ME3

The way I'm basically looking at it is that if it was available, it would have been used against Reapers in ME3. I mean, they allowed AI to interface with their systems, which is about as illegal as it gets in ME. I mean, we're seeing them using experimental implants and throwing students into combat. If they thought it would hurt them, they would have hurled the kitchen sink at the rEApers. Given that we never saw something like that in use, I think we can say it was unavailable.
The exception was, of course, flamethrower, which was a vorcha ability in ME3 MP, if I recall correctly.

But all the ME games were told from a somewhat narrow point of view and the codex entries were basically the basics of the whole universe. A lot of the powers I mentioned were probably realistically invented in adverse conditions by individuals.
And though I created the thread for directly involving Andromeda powers. I think I should modify it to could we progress certain powers like it is implied to have been done in Andromeda.
