Phaeston - Aeryn has been using this model of assault rifle for years. Its relative light weight and staggering rate of fire has dropped foes for the Turian military, Spectres, and various high paying employers. Her customizations include a top of the line stability mod as well as a modified thermal clip receiver.
N7 Crusader - One of the perks of wiping out an entire gun running operation is that you get first choice of the spoils. The N7 Crusader is an Alliance weapon patterned off of riot shotguns. It saw extensive use on Torfan against Batarian mercenaries, the soldiers' accurate fire punching holes in the attacker's lines both up close and in the distance. Her particular Crusader has been modified with a premium shredder mod as well as a high caliber barrel.
N7 Eagle - Another toy that was picked up from the ruined gun runners, the Eagle is a redesigned and upgraded version of the Alliance's M-5 Phalanx. Like its predecessor, the Eagle is a compact pistol that delivers unprecedented accuracy and punch. Unlike its predecessor, it is fully automatic with a high rate of fire. Aeryn's Eagle has been upgraded with a piercing mod and an upgraded thermal clip receiver.
Armor
Armiger Legion Battleplate, a respected and feared frontline assault armor that uses integrated propulsion jets to execute lightning-quick airstrikes and injects combat stims to exponentially increase battlefield capabilities. Aeryn upgraded it with an aftermarket VI interface to aid in unit coordination, and computer hacking.
Cabal Commander Armor, a light-weight armor that is well suited for covert operations. It is equipped with venom infused gauntlets with retractable blades and a built in VI interface to assist with unit coordination and computer hacking.
Powers
Havok Strike - Most Turian Cabals barely rate above L3s, making a Biotic Charge underwhelming when compared to Krogans and Asari. However, taking inspiration from this, the 26th Armiger Legion developed a combat style that mimicked the Biotic Charge. Utilizing the built in propulsion jets, Legionnaires would initiate devestating strikes against their enemy, soaring into the air and landing with explosive force then either tearing into the enemy with dual omniblades or withdrawing before the enemy could retaliate. After acquiring a suit of Armiger Battleplate, Aeryn adopted this tactic in favor of the Poison Strike that so many Cabal Vanguards were trained to use for assassination purposes.
Warp – This power spawns rapidly shifting mass effect fields that shred apart a target at the molecular level. The fields will detonate any biotic powers affecting the target, such as Pull or Singularity. The detonated target takes massive damage from Warp, and all targets within the Detonation Radius will be caught in the resulting dark energy blast, regardless of any protection they might have.
Warp Ammo – Aeryn is capable of charging ammunition with biotic energy, turning every round into a miniature disruptor torpedo, tearing through flesh and metal like tissue paper. With a bit of concentration, the Turian is able to charge the weapons of those around her with this power.
Barrier – Aeryn focuses a biotic field around herself, reinforcing her kinetic shielding and armor. She also possesses the ability to detonate the defensive field, blasting those around her with dark energy.
Cluster Grenade - Aeryn is particularly adept at charging weaponry with biotic fields, including grenades. Dark Energy is channeled into a standard grenade, turning the blast into a series of shrapnel and biotic explosions.
Cryo Blast – Built into her Armiger Battleplate’s Omni-tool, this power fires a mass of super-cooled subatomic particles capable of snap-freezing targets within the impact radius. If the target is unprotected, it is possible to shatter it with the use of weapons or just good old fashioned brute force.
Stimulant Pack – Armiger Battleplate comes outfitted with injectors that flood the wearer with chemicals that increase reaction speed, dull pain, and enhance muscle strength. Unfortunately, due to over use, Aeryn is addicted to the stimulants.
History: Aeryn was born on Palaven, Handor Province, as displayed by her tattoo, to a young rifleman and an even younger engineer (her mother was exposed to eezo in an engine leak before she even knew she was pregnant). When she was still a ten years old, her father was promoted to lead security for a small colony in the Attican Traverse. Things went smoothly for a little over a year until Batarian slavers attacked. Her father was maimed badly, her mother killed, and she was harpooned by a young Batarian Brawler by the name of Hrekthan Bagas. The leader of the raiders ordered Bagas to keep the Turian, as punishment for taking a slave that would end up being more trouble than she was worth. As a dextro DNA lifeform, Aeryn was high maintenance, an undesirable trait in a slave. Special food, special meds, all of it was now Bagas’ responsibility. Shortly afterwards, Aeryn’s biotics manifested, and Bagas began plotting.
Two years passed with the Batarian teaching his Turian slave everything he knew. He trained her to be brutal, to be ruthless, to be a weapon; to be HIS weapon. The scheming Batarian wanted her to help him assassinate his superiors. No one would suspect a thirteen year old Turian girl of being capable of killing an accomplished Batarian slaver, but the opportunity came when the raiders were in orbit after a successful attack. The leader was in negotiations with a merchant when she struck, gouging out the man’s eyes and letting him crawl around on the deck before finishing him with a biotically charged punch to the back of the neck. Her owner was pleased, laughing and congratulating himself on his accomplishment when she turned on him. The small girl struck while his back was turned, just as he taught her, leaping on his back and clawing out his eyes as well, she then beat in Bagas’ skull with the butt of his pistol. Finding herself alone on the bridge, the young girl used the communications system, just as her owner had shown her, to contact a Turian patrol that the Batarians had been talking about. She then began yanking wires. The frigate’s VI lost control, and the ship began to fall into the planet’s atmosphere. In all of the chaos, the girl took the bridge’s escape pod and drifted for hours until the Turian patrol arrived. The ship that picked her up, however, did not belong to the Turians.
The most unlikely creature in Council Space picked up the escape pod, Jorgal Jormungand, 1000 years old, incredibly patient, staggeringly powerful. The old Krogan took a liking to the young Turian, and would keep a close eye on her after handing her back over to the Turian military.
After being reunited with her father, the girl was granted early enrollment to the military. Her unconventional tactics served her well after she was placed in the Cabals, raising her through the ranks and earning her command of her unit. She earned numerous commendations, and almost as many reprimands. She took risks, her brutality was shocking, not to mention her willingness to sacrifice noncombatants and innocents to complete the mission. Her capability to complete the mission, no matter what, caught the eye of the Salarian Council member, who pulled some strings and managed to get her an assessment for the Spectres. The Spectre sent to observe her had been watching her for quite a long time. He was no stranger either, after all. He was the one who had pulled her from the escape pod, she couldn’t forget that ancient plated head; Jorgal Jormungand. The old Krogan Spectre took her under his wing and observed her on several missions. Despite his distaste for her methods, he could not argue the results. She was granted Spectre status, and her first mission was to track and capture the leader of a Batarian slaver ring in the Attican Traverse. She found the slavers as well as the colony they were operating out of. Foregoing the “capture” part of her mission, the Turian dropped two of the three Batarian frigates in orbit onto the colony and left the third drifting, lifeless. The Batarian Hegemony labeled her a mass murderer and demanded the Council hand her over. The Council, seeing her actions as unacceptable and extreme revoked her Spectre status.
For three years, Aeryn had been running a group of mercenaries called the Black Hearts. The group was ambushed by Blood Pack mercs while transporting Prothean artifacts. Her Black Hearts fought bravely, costing the Blood Pack dearly but they were outnumbered and outgunned. If it had not been for the timely intervention of a man named Corwin Havens, she would not have been able to kill the Krogan leading the Blood Pack marauders. He and his crew boarded the transport assaulted the Blood Pack from behind, splitting their attention between themselves and the regrouping Black Hearts. Havens took the Prothean artifacts as payment and left the surviving Black Hearts at a nearby colony. Afterwards, the Black Hearts disbanded and Aeryn was left to her own devices as a freelance mercenary.
