Resindra/Risendra Iregos
(ruh-sen-dra a-regg-os)
Born in the year 1916 CE on Cyone.
"This garden world's claim to military fame is that it was assaulted repeatedly during the Krogan Rebellions, but never occupied by more than token forces. The asari cut off the krogan supply line at the Citadel relay and drove the invaders out. Today, antimatter generators on the surface and in orbital stations provide fuel for military starships throughout asari space. The matriarchs defending the planet today have vowed to maintain Cyone's legacy -- they pledge it will fall to no enemy, organic or synthetic."

Character Summary:
This Asari is 6'1" tall, has pale "washed" complexion for an Asari, somewhere between gray and pale violet, with white spots that form a distinctive mask on her face. Spots mark her eye sockets, cheekbones and chin, and run up her head fringe. The skin on her limbs is a deeper blue, with contrasting saturated violet.
Her combat outfit has fewer gentle curves than the type of armor Asari usually wear, but it is still aesthetically pleasing in its way. She wears armor that has clearly been constructed piecemeal over time, albeit with elegance and expertise. The chestplate of her armor is asymmetrical, grey and white with blue markings and the right side is heavily fortified by an extra layer of plating that has definite edges. The right shoulder on her chestplate is raised and angular, while the right shoulder is not raised significantly. On the battlefield that shoulder frequently handles her shotgun when she’s not firing it. The armor can adjust its appearance when needed, from off-white to dark grey or black, matching the space stations, spaceships and ice or metropolitan planets she's served on.
She has a drone that she named Axeia, after a former partner who was also an Asari Commando. She owns one M-11 Suppressor for daily duty (armor-piercing, with explosive rounds when stopping power is needed) and a lightly modified Claymore, with some parts removed or replaced to make handling and firing the gun easier. It is marginally less destructive, accordingly.
Her personality is direct, honest but uncompromising, and she is a firm, persistent leader. She is decisive, calculating and brutal in combat. Outside of combat, she is not chatty but tends to be friendly enough to fit in well with civilian society.
She has had a healthy, sometimes sad life. She is nearing the end of her Maiden stage. She is not ready to settle down, but does not seek adventure like she used to.
She specializes in negotiation and hostage rescue. She has overseen various units that had Asari and sometimes other races in them, and she's had more than a hundred years of training as an Asari commando, with a few decades of elite training. She learned certain techniques from other races, but she hasn't rehearsed them and doesn't use them regularly or practically for the most part. Those techniques, any respective member of that race which invented the combat technique will find her skill with them to be mediocre or moderate for the most part. She is a formidable foe, however.
Her areas of combat expertise are hit and run tactics, misdirection, and asset protection. In a fight with many lesser enemies, she will be relying on stealth, her drone and biotically enhanced dodging to misdirect the enemies, taking them down by hand or by expertly placed shots from her pistol. Her ability to tear through enemies with warp and her biotic field blends fluidly with her hand-to-hand attacks. She is not as fast as a Salarian or elite human combatant who specializes in hand-to-hand, but she makes up for it with patience, endurance, experience and raw stopping power.
She spent a few years running her own private security firm with a Salarian partner, who she was also briefly in a relationship with. They never had time for a child, or much considered it. She was the organizing force behind a lot of remarkable work. She understands the principles of their work, but did not contribute significantly to any particular aspect of the work, and when she wasn't organizing the project she was testing its effectiveness in the field. It was a totally different thing for her, and affected her outlook on life.
After that partners death a few years ago, she went on her own as a freelancer, and was able to win a legal battle for certain aspects of the technology she invented, with the help of a Matriarch who had pull with a Dalatrass. She has no interest in romantic entanglements for a while. Lately she has mostly worked on her own, or worked as an advisor for security interests in council space, both small corporate and official. Most recently, she has often been seen in human space on contract, when she wasn't off the grid for months at a time.

Asari Protector (Sentinel)
She was trained on Cyone. Historically, the world has been a "Helm's Deep" of Mass Effect.
The structure of Asari military is described as somewhat less centralized, in that each colony is responsible for a Militia, and their Militia is volunteer-only. In ME3:
"Cyone, a fortified world under the protection of several asari matriarchs, has begun to supply fuel to Systems Alliance forces in the hope that an asari-human partnership might prevent the Reapers from seizing the planet. Alliance forces have since established several outposts in the system.
The humans and asari have been joined by a small detachment of turians, drawn from the private militia of a corporate conglomerate that does business with Cyone. The three species are so determined to defend Cyone that integration issues have been negligible.
The task force has already thrown back several Reaper attacks, although the commanders express concern that small Reaper forces could have slipped through despite their vigilance."
Combat Techniques:
Biotic Barrier/Biotic Protector
Warp
Biotic Field
Defense Drone (Axeia)
Tactical Cloak
Commando Training/Special Tactics
Barrier and Biotic Protector: Barrier can be adapted tactically to be used as a Biotic Protector, which can deflect attacks. She cannot do anything while maintaining this. Comparable to the power used on Thessia, it is used to block bullets rather than swarms as seen in the suicide mission. My assumption is that anyone who can produce a barrier can do this to some degree, but she has practiced and been trained with it.
It can be used as a support power, and requires most of her attention and strength to maintain, if not all of it. The intensity of attacks on the bubble influences how long she can maintain it and whether she can do or think about anything else while maintaining the field. There is DLC in ME3, the Omega DLC, that has a character with this power. That character is able to put up a shield that locks in/out small arms fire and grenade blasts completely.
Biotic Field: In offensive situations, for a brief period she can maintain a short-range field around her body which conducts her biotic attacks, making them more destructive. The field reaches out as much as three meters. She can maintain Barrier but not the Protector shield while doing this. In this state, her Warp ability will obliterate a group of lesser enemies within a couple meters of each other; it will weaken and stagger Boss or Semi-boss enemies. This is inspired by Annihilation Field in Multiplayer. I like the mechanic, and she needed something to give "punch" to her abilities. The only difference is it doesn't kill enemies passively.
My "fan lore" explanation for the power is that she can exude some of the energy required for a Singularity or Charge, instead, as a field around her that is comparably devastating. Perhaps increasing her mass and the gravitational force of her Warp power.
Defense Drone: Her drone has higher shields and the ability to engage multiple enemies, compared to average drones, but lacks rockets/flame attacks. It can track a target (slowly) and detonate when its barriers are down. It has the ability to detonate Element Zero.
Tactical Cloak: I envision that her use of this is not going to increase damage the same way it does in the game, augmenting her defensive abilities instead with stealth only. It can't be used with her barrier, reasoning that the barrier refracts light enough to completely counteract stealth. She can use it to evade and attack from another angle.
Training: Her training grants her the ability to use her own shields to power someone else's, as well as biotically enhanced martial arts and negotiation skills and training. She is able to do short-distance biotic "steps." You can see this in her intermission fight, when she seems to vanish from sight.
Equipment
Armor:
Modified Ariake/Serrice Council hybrid chest armor; Mnemonic Visor with full helmet option; custom right shoulder pad and plating added to right side of the chestplate, courtesy of a decommissioned Hahn-Kedar mech; Kassa Fabrication Legplates.
Weapons:
M11 Suppressor with Armor-Piercing, explosive rounds and detachable scope; M-300 Claymore; Biotic Martial Arts
Her armor is modified Ariake armor, somewhat lighter on the left side to maintain balance when she wears her shotgun at one side on a strap, within easy reach. In a prolonged fire-fight she weakens the enemy with indirect attacks, then moves in with the stronger section of her armor facing the enemy, finishing with her shotgun or pistol. When surrounded she can dodge, use stealth, biotic barrier or blast them radially. The strange choice of fighting technique is reflective of an Asari's insight and patience concerning her own abilities. It is a unique style among Asari.
Her pistol has limited Explosive rounds in any engagement, and they cause her pistol to overheat more quickly - requiring more frequent swapping of thermal clips. She only uses them when less will not have the needed stopping power. It is always modified for armor penetration. In pitched combat situations she will put a scope on it.
She has cybernetic enhancements to wield a Claymore, but the Claymore is lighter so she can maneuver more easily with it, and aim it more quickly. She only uses the claymore when the pistol or her biotics will not manage on their own. She can attach it to the left side of her armor or the small of her back.
